Reasons I Am Afraid of My 12 Year Old

Seriously, have you been around a group of preteen kids? Terror strikes when I think of myself at that age and although my offspring are by far better than I was, I can't help but shutter at ideas that roll through my head!
1- The slang they use! Huh? Are they planning a heist or just gossiping? I can't tell anymore what is being said which brings me to my next scary gripe.
2- When did spelling everything incorrectly become in vogue? Not only by kids but Twitter users are now purposely doing it! I can't help but wondering if this is a problem with not knowing correct spelling or just a fad.
3- Mood swinging like a pendulum has me ready for hugs, tears, groaning, eye rolling and possible breathing fire!
4- Last week boys were another gross, unfortunate necessary evil in this world! This week, mentioning them is met by giggles, a 'knowing' glance to her BFF and an obligatory "AARRGGH MOM SHUT UP!".

Is your repayment worthy? I believe some folks fancy themselves to be teachers, when to others they are merely know it all's masquerading.
I sat and listened to a well respected, high achieving, community leader (whom is also a recovering alcoholic and close family member) speak to a professional in a field he is not in. How pathetic were his words that usually draw admiration, nothing impressed his audience.
When I read this quote, it made me think of the aforementioned situation. Would he be suitable in repaying his teacher? It is all really just perception? Like most of life is...

Servant or doormat?

I recently moved and now am staying in a side by side apartment with my munchkins, until we find a suitable permanent house. My new neighbors have asked me to baby sit their 3 kids 3 days in a row. No payment, no thanks-only stomping on stairs, air piercing shrieks and rude parents. I asked my Twitter following for advice, and was reminded by Ray @WhiteCHS that God didn't call us to be doormats.
  I couldn't help but think of Christ washing the feet of His disciples, calling us to serve. Any thoughts?

Finding Myself

Well, that's a lot easier said than done. That much I know. But here I am, 30ish and still trying to figure out what I want to to do when I grow up. My faith in Christ is strong and I believe all that I do well is attributed to Him giving me gifts that I may in turn, use to glorify Him. The gift of writing I am blessed with, along with my ability to talk to all walks of life, never judging or looking down on anyone, goes well with my love for sharing any knowledge I have, especially having to do with the Gospel and The Teachings of Jesus Christ.
 This brings me to what is in my Spirit. When I am alone with God, and I ask Him what His Will for me is, I always have a tugging to teach the Love Of Christ to others, publicly, that is. I have found myself doubting this, thinking that I am not worthy to do the work of the Lord. Then I look at the Bible and realize that no one in it was worthy to do it, either. That is our fallen nature and all the more reason for me to share with others this wonderful point! I am finally coming to the acceptance that I am good enough! I am a new person in Christ Jesus and no one can take that away from me!

 I am very excited so please excuse any errors! I have been saved since 2006 and Joyce was the first preacher/teacher that made me realize that I could truly do anything in Christ! I am so thankful that her team noticed me..It is the little things, I suppose.

Insanity runs rampant on the internet! 
       Now, is it me or are people taking Social Networking way too seriously? I understand that a lot of folks use different media outlets for business purposes and that isn't what I'm referring to, as I don't want to take anything away from legitimate, hardworking people who use social media for business purposes. Please note the use of networking when speaking of typical users and media when speaking of those using the sites for marketing, etc.. I am shocked by how a random comment I posted about Miley Cyrus, whom for the record has nothing to do with this or me, was picked apart and blown out of proportion by some alias using person. Do people really have such pathetic lives that they sit and wait for comments to be posted just to belittle and judge the postee? What is wrong with this picture?
